Omnibus Continuing Resolution Includes Funding for Government with Links to Hamas

News Release

"Until the Palestinian Authority Renounces Terrorism, Giving Them $50 million is a Waste of Taxpayer Dollars"

WASHINGTON, DC - WASHINGTON, DC. - Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) issued the following statement today, in response to the pending Democrat continuing resolution intended for House consideration:

"The all-inclusive, one-stop and spend-all Democrat Omnibus Bill will include upwards of $50 million slated to go to the Palestinian Authority.

"This CR comes just days after a homicide bombing in Israel which claimed the lives of three innocent Israeli civilians. Both Hamas and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, a well known Fatah faction of the Palestinian Authority, have declared responsibility for this attack.

"Last election the voters sent a clear message that they expect their tax dollars to be used wisely by Congress. Until the Palestinian Authority renounces terrorism, giving them $50 million is a waste of taxpayer dollars."
